SAN FRANCISCO – The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) invites customers of Golden State Water Company to remote Public Forums on the utility’s rate case. This is an opportunity for Golden State Water’s customers to communicate directly with the CPUC regarding the revenue and rate base changes that Golden State Water proposes in its rate case application.

Golden State Water’s Request:

On August 14, 2023, Golden State Water requested CPUC approval to increase rates for water service by $87,060,700 or 22.95 percent in 2025; $20,699,200 or 4.42 percent in 2026; and $22,408,200 or 4.57 percent in 2027.

When: Three Public Forums based on Golden State Water service regions (see regions on the Public Forum webpage):

  • Region 1: June 24, 2024, 6 p.m.
  • Region 2: June 25, 2024, 6 p.m.
  • Region 3: June 26, 2024, 6 p.m.

What: The Public Forums will begin with a brief overview of party positions, and then public comments will be heard.

How to Make Comment:

  • Call In: Use the telephone number above to comment publicly during the Public Forums.
    • Participants who wish to speak must press “star one” after entering the passcode, unmute their phone, and record their name. This will alert the operator who will put the speakers into a queue and announce each speaker’s name one at a time when the speaker’s turn comes up. When it is time for public comment, the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) will make an announcement through the telephone line for those who wish to speak.
  • Send Us Your Written Comments: Submit your comments anytime, and read the comments of others, at: apps.cpuc.ca.gov/c/A2308010.
