Please join the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to learn how new energization timelines will speed up requests for new and upgraded electrical service and improve utility transparency and accountability.

Senate Bill 410 (Becker) and Assembly Bill 50 (Wood), enacted in 2023, directed the CPUC to establish energization timelines for new and upgraded electrical service and to establish a process for reporting electrical service delays.

During this webinar, CPUC staff will provide an overview of the newly approved timelines that are designed to accelerate the process to connect homes and businesses, electric vehicle chargers, and other loads to the electric grid. Find out what the new timelines mean for individual consumers and local governments as they work towards statewide electrification goals. CPUC staff will also discuss a Customer Engagement Plan that is designed to provide transparency throughout the energization process.

There will be a Q&A session after the presentation to provide attendees an opportunity to ask questions on the topics discussed.
