Environmental and Social Justice Pilots
PG&E’s ESJ White Paper
On July 15, 2024, PG&E submitted the Environmental and Social Justice Pilot Study’s White Paper in accordance with D.22-12-027. The primary purpose of the White Paper is to comply with the decision where the Commission required, two months after the filing of the 2024 RAMP, IOUs to each file a White Paper that:
- identifies areas for further exploration and challenges they faced incorporating ESJ into the RDF (R.20-07-013);
- discusses how to better target mitigations that improve local air quality; and
- explores how to better target mitigations that improve climate resilience in disadvantaged and vulnerable communities

Notice of Public Webinar on PG&E's Proposed Environmental & Social Justice Pilot Study Plan
In accordance with D.22-12-027, PG&E hosted a public webinar on its Proposed Environmental and Social Justice Pilot Study Plan. Materials were distributed on Thursday, July 13, 2023, via email. This webinar was held on Thursday, July 20, 2023. During the webinar, PG&E presented on its Plan and took questions and feedback from the audience.

Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group (DACAG)
In accordance with D.22-12-027 Ordering Paragraph 5, PG&E gave a presentation at the June 16th 2023 DACAG Meeting on its Proposed Environmental and Social Justice Pilot Study Plan. More about the DACAG meeting can be found here. During the webinar, PG&E presented on its Plan, then received clarifying questions and some feedback from the DACAG. The DACAG determined that no written feedback needed to be provided to PG&E.
Community-based Organization Working Group (CBOWG) and Community Perspectives Advisory Council (C-PAC)
In accordance with D.22-12-027 Ordering Paragraph 5, PG&E gave a presentation at the June 15th 2023 C-PAC Meeting on its Proposed Environmental and Social Justice Pilot Study Plan. CBOWG members were also invited to attend the meeting to ensure compliance with the Ordering Paragraph. During the webinar, PG&E presented on its Plan, then received clarifying questions and some feedback from C-PAC and CBOWG members.
